Drop-In Art Saturdays

Join museum educators in the museum's lobby from 10 a.m. to Noon on the 3rd Saturday of each month for this new family art program that is fun for all ages.  Your family can drop-in, make and take fun art creations home with you. All children should be accompanied by an adult. Crafts available while supplies last.

Illustration with Tracey Arvidson. Tracey Arvidson will teach drop-in artists the finer points of illustration at this months Drop-in Art Saturday. Illustration, or 'drawing', is one of the most basic and universal forms of art, learn about and practice it with an award winning professional.

We continue our decoy themed projects in support of the Ward World Championships this month with a styrofoam body Bufflehead Decoy. Join Ward Museum staff and Bob Shade as we assemble and paint these life-size working decoys.

Create a Snowflake Mobile with Ward Museum Education Staff for the holidays. Mobiles are a beautiful and complex art form that capture the delicate balance of art and physics.

Artist and carver Bill Belote will guide students in painting a Puffin Silhouette that can be submitted for the 2014 Youth Division Ward World Championship next April in Ocean City.
