William Kight, Jr. (1897-1977) Back Bay, VA

Will Kight is remembered by the Back Bay locals as a baseball player, not a decoy carver. For several years, Kight played semi-professional ball with the clubs in Princess Anne County, but made his living as a farmer, hunter and waterman. Knight also served as a guide for Corey Lodge on Great Marsh (Coppedge 63). Known decoys made by Will Kight include canvas-over-wire-frame geese and swans.
