Children of all ages can enjoy Kid’s Corner. Plan to visit C Hall for arts and crafts designed to stimulate curiosity and participation in the arts. Featured activities include painting a flattie bird cut outs, soap carving, and carving using child-safe tools.
PAINT A MINIATURE MALLARD W/ED ITTER: Saturday 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Ed Itter will demonstrate and lead youth in painting a miniature Mallard decoy. This activity is presented at no cost to the participants. It is for youth 18 and under only.
PAINT A PUFFIN: Saturday 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. (11 and under); 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. (12 to 17)
Paint a Puffin Silhouette for next year's Youth Division with Bill and Ames Belote. Silhouettes, paint, brushes, and instruction are all provided free of charge. Numbers are limited, so arrive on time. 1 p.m. session will be painting only, 2:30 p.m. session will include shaping and sanding with a Dremel tool as well as painting.
Please Note: Conference pricing does not include admission into the competition hall or admission to the Ward Museum. Pre-registration is required for all classes, fieldtrips and seminars. All classes are subject to cancelation before April 5th, 2013. Adult and Youth Seminars are on a first come, first serve basis. Seminar and fieldtrip balances are due at registration. Member prices are for current Ward Museum Members only. Youth under the age of 18 receive FREE admission to seminars. Seminars subject to cancelation without notification. Refunds honored in full upon administrative cancelation of classes/seminars/fieldtrips.
