Drop in Art Saturday
The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury MD (map)

For our July Drop in Art project join local mixed media artist, Barbara Kopf Israel will lead this session on the popular and interesting genre of art known as Artist Books. By using one sheet of paper, making a few folds and one cut, adults and children of all ages will create an X book. Then by using a variety of materials they will decorate the pages focusing on nature. The book also has a secret "hiding place" which children will enjoy. Participants are encouraged to bring in printed photos, magazine pictures, and especially their own photographs of nature. Mrs. Israel will share how to "go green" by using found materials and objects that will be re-purposed as stamps and art materials to add more interest to each page of the book.

This will also coincide with our Book Drive celebration, so artists are encouraged to bring gently used children's books to donate to the Habitat Theater. Donors will receive acknowledgement of their non-cash donation and free admission to the galleries during the event.
